Advisory Board

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah is a distinguished Pakistani cardiologist, academic and institutional leader whose career spans clinical medicine, medical education, research governance and the administration of major public health institutions.

He has served as Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, and as Chief Executive of Lady Reading Hospital, where he also headed the Department of Cardiology. He served as Vice Dean for Research at the Postgraduate Medical Institute, Peshawar. He led the establishment of the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology as its pioneer Project Director and served two terms as Chairman of its Board of Governors. He was Governor of the Pakistan Chapter of the American College of Cardiology from 2020 to 2023. He serves on the ACC's Credentialing Committee and on the Steering Committee of its Assembly of International Governors, on which he first served from 2020 to 2023 and again since 2024.

He was Editor in Chief of the Journal of Postgraduate Medical Institute from 1993 to 2016, and of the Pakistan Heart Journal, the official journal of the Pakistan Cardiac Society, from 2010 to 2018. He is the author of more than 350 scientific articles and abstracts published in national and international journals.

Through the Pakistan Cardiac Society, he has contributed to national clinical practice guidelines on thrombolysis, acute coronary syndrome and ST elevation myocardial infarction, and has chaired both its committee on stable angina and its Council on Preventive Cardiology. He was a member of the Executive Council of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and chaired its committee that developed national guidelines for research ethics committees.

Prof. Hafizullah obtained his MBBS from Khyber Medical College in 1979, securing first position in his class and receiving the President of Pakistan Award along with a foreign scholarship awarded to the best graduates. He holds MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edinburgh), FRCP (Glasgow) and FCPS, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).

Beyond medicine, he has written more than 450 newspaper columns in English and Urdu on public health and social issues, and is the author of twelve books in English and five in Urdu on preventive cardiology and social subjects.

Dr. Engr. Sanaullah Aman is a dispute resolution professional, academic, and institutional leader with extensive expertise spanning law, management, engineering, and public sector governance.

He brings extensive public sector experience from his tenure as Member (Engineering) at the Capital Development Authority (CDA), where he gained first hand experience in public administration, institutional decision making, regulatory frameworks, infrastructure development, and complex dispute resolution environments.

Dr. Aman currently serves as a Member of the Selection Board of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Pakistan (ACEP), contributing to professional governance, institutional oversight, and the development of engineering and consulting institutions. He is also a Professor of Management and the author of the book Alternative Dispute Resolution in a Globalized World: Law, Practice and Innovation.
